Impact Youth Ministry

Purpose:

To develop mature disciples’ of Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20)
-Discipleship is the process of sharing our faith to lead another to Christ.

Core Values:

-These are the components of our ministry, which make it possible for us to accomplish and remain focused on our mission.

1. Christ is the Foundation of our ministry. (Matthew 16:15-18)
2. All teaching is Bible based, because, it has been breathed by God. (2 Timothy 3:16)
3. Everything we do has been bathed in prayer. ( James 5:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, 1 Peter 3:12)
4. Our leaders strive to live in a Godly way, realizing they are an example to the teens they minister to. (1 Corinthians 11:1)
5. Our youth ministry is not an entity in itself, but only a part of the whole. (Romans 12:4-8)

-Everything we, as a youth ministry, do, serves a purpose. We do not have a youth ministry so that the teens have something to do on during the week. We want to provide a teen friendly atmosphere in which they will be able to be ministered to and minister to others.

-These four commitments are areas that we, as a leadership team, will focus on in every aspect of our ministry. Whenever we plan an event, or have any type of gathering, we will ask ourselves, “what are we committed to here?”

Commitments:

-A commitment to membership
As a result of outreach, we will be focused on helping teens know Christ. By coming on a regular basis, and being taught through lessons, Godly examples, and worship teens will be drawn to having a relationship with Christ. Knowing Christ.

-A commitment to maturity
As a result of membership, teens in our group will be brought into a deeper knowledge of who God is and what He does in our lives. The aim of this commitment is to become mature in our faith. Growing in Christ.

-A commitment to ministry
As a result of maturity, the teens will see and be taught the importance of ministering to others in the local church. They will be given opportunities to use their gifts in order to minister to others. Serving Christ.

-A commitment to missions
As a result of ministry, the teens will see what it is like to honor God with what he has given them. They will be trained and given opportunities to use their gifts in order to minister to their peers. Sharing Christ.

The apostle Paul refers to the Christian walk as a race. This analogy is an important thing to remember because the idea puts an emphasis on heading toward a goal. We all are striving onward toward this goal whether we know it or not. Some teens have no clue about this race. Some have a clue but have no idea as to how to train for it or even run it. However, others know about the race and are running it. We will provide teaching, training, and ministry opportunities so that our students will have everything they need to run the race. It is our goal as a youth ministry to produce, mature, disciples’ of Christ. Based on biblical principles, this is what we believe a mature disciple of Christ looks like. (Hebrews 12:1-3, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27)

Final Product:
